Apologies that this has taken so long to sort

We're back and have put several measures in place to prevent this from happening again.

A big thank you to Chris Kenward at TGIS for helping us get up and running again

Absolute pleasure mate. All looking good again. We'll keep a close eye on it from now on.

Cheers
Chris

Great to see it up and running again! After upsetting people at 924oc as I dared to question the "join, join, join" mentailty I've really quite missed the world of tipec :D

It "was" the same as it is here. After the level of self importance and downright arrogance I experienced from some key members there when I asked "why do some people not pay for membership?" I asked for my account to be deleted.

Much nicer place here 8)

Pleased to read that you guys enjoy the forum. :)

This is a story I have told many times and one of my favourite club moments.

At one of the Gaydon Shows, a brand new 997 GT3RS parked next to a well used 924 2.0. Both owners checked the gap to the adjacent cars and started talking. Engines were shown off and doors opened.

The forum is a shared community, all we ask is that people join in and play nicely :)

Hey Russ ... haha - no no my line wasn't directed at you, but more a misplaced pun at the situation - our posts were only a minute or so apart and I don't think I saw yours before I hit send...

But having said that I was a victim of the same hectoring on the 24 forum, and being constantly badgered into paying was what squeezed the cash out of my wallet rather than any particular desire to join.

On the contrary here - there has never been any pressure to subscribe, any amount of technical advice has been freely and willingly given (try that over on the 24 site and see what you get after 2 questions...) and the whole 'feeling' of the place is so much more cordial and friendly. Needless to say I've happily coughed up and really enjoy the local club GTGs ...

Just my tuppenceworth ..

G

As an owner of 924's since the late 1970's, I joined the 924 'club' forum with a view to talking/meeting like minded folk.....er, not quite, far too many breakers on their making money from parting out cars, rather than promoting/supporting the marque. Heaven forbid if you offer advice to any newbie, prospective 924 buyers....if you haven't payed to join the 'small band of self important A**#^les' who constantly snipe and demand monies to join their 'group' I found it all rather pathetic... and I for one am very pleased to see the Tipec forum revived! well done to all concerned!

What was the problem? :D
