Hello my name is Chris, I live near to Loughborough and have a collection of 924's.

I am in another club, but it looks like there is a lot more going on locally with TIPEC. The 'other club' said you were more a club for newer cars, I hope your not :)

People might be interested in the 924 Cabriolet as there are are not many (if any) left in the UK.
I have just picked up a lovely red 924 N/A, but it needs a cylinder head gasket doing, lets hope for some sunny w/e's

Chris

Hi Chris -

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

Abbott's Oak?? Where's dat den? I'm in Loughborough and am the RO for the East Midlands region.
We are certainly not "for newer cars" as was suggested - we more than welcome anyone who has a passion for Porsche's, hell you don't even have to own one!

Feel free to pop along to our club night (third Tuesday of the month - next one 21st October) at The Fieldhead Hotel, Markfield.

Also, keep checking back to the TIPEC main page as I try to keep it up to date with details of what's on (http://www.tipec.net/region_eastmidlands.php). We are however heading into "the quieter months" as the nights draw in.

Hope to see you and your 924's soon.

Correct, several coach builders did them in Germany & the Netherlands & they also did the 944 Lux before Porsche did the Cab on the S2.
One of the guys on Titanic is rebuilding one. Most of the S2 upgrades on mine came from a 1984 cab conversion in Reading that was running on predominately S2 running gear.

Yep it's a bit rare!

It was converted 20 years ago from a German kit and called Bieber Borken. The car at the time was 3yrs old and had done 20K, conversion was by Pilgrim cars of Plymouth, who now make Kit cars.

Sorry it is about to be put away for the winter as 20 yr old cars are not that water proof

Welcome!

As Jim said above, Tref (PCGB Dorset Regional Organiser) is restoring a 924 cab - I'm sure he'd love to get in contact with you.
