Well it is at the moment :)

Hi there, I am soon hoping to rediscover the happy joys of 944 ownership, previously owned a standard 944 8v but had to sell due to children arriving :( . Now they are a little bigger I no longer need to carry half of Boots/Mothercare/ToysRus around with me and so wife has agreed I can have a toy. Currently I am driving an Octavia vRS TDi (previously owned a Mk1 petrol vRS) but I am now on the lookout for a tidy 944S or S2, and it isnt easy. I saw one recently that said 'slight bubbling on sills' , the only thing holding them in place was the paint ! completely shot through :( , another had no record of the belts/tensioners being changed despite being owned by the current owner for a few years ! Still the search will continue, I am sure there must be some out there which wont involve a trip to Scotland to find.

I know Exeter has an OPC, but does anyone know of any independants in the Devon/East Cornwall area ?

Hi

Give Jon Mitchell a call. He's got a couple of cars to sell or he'll know where to find one. He's got 2 944T's that are customer's cars that are for sale and at least you'll know they are straight and serviced properly.

Christchurch is about 90 mins from you. There should be an open day there in October I think that's when I'm picking mine up hopefully.

Andy

Welcome to the site.

I'm from North Devon but sadly don't know of any dealers in the area.
