It's the same with my friends we only do it when we get time, and for my friends it's not much hence why the track in the pictures has been like it for 6/8 months now

Got loads of Scalextric but it only comes out when we have a Scalextric evening as a club meet.

I believe the South East crowd will be over to Kent for some scalextrics action in the winter months?

Yes October :bounce:  :bounce:

Hi Stuart. A Porsche is much more fun to drive than a cooper S. And loads more stable at speed. Never liked driving the S. Usualy they leak loads of oil everywhere as well. Wouldn't swap my '44 for one even when it's giving me grief. :)

well thanks for the warm welcome, seems i'm not the only one with memories of scalextric and the porsches they made, but flashing headlights! nothing as posh as that in my day.

mymerak, i'll almost certainly take you up on the invite to the club night, it's in the diary.

As for changing the mini without telling better half, not a good idea, i chopped the last mini in for a civic type r and she cried the day it went! after 18 months of hints we went back to a mini! (the type r was fast but it was bland as a very bland thing)

i've never really been into them but today i bought a personalised reg to go on my porsche when it arrives, the plate is a p prefix so the porsche will have to have been registered on or after 1st august 1996. that's one decision made!

stu.

not at all lindsay, all the differing opinions offer much food for thought and it was quite amusing listening to everyone arguing the merits of their own particular choice, there is one model that i haven't considered, and with the weather being so pants maybe a cayenne would make sense  just kidding

Hi Stuart,

At the end of the day it's your money, your choice and your drive.

Your preferred choice is fine, just try and stick with the model variants that Lindsay and I suggested

I suggest you have a read of the article I wrote in the April edition of All Torque.

The guidance therein is generic. You have already started on the right path by joining the club.

I will try and remeber to bring the article / magazine with me to Coventry Transport Museum on Saturday

If you get to the convoy start at Shirley's, early on Saturday, there will be much to see in the showroom

Oh! and welcome to TIPEC and have fun
