That's a very nice looking car. What are the issues? Maybe we can help / advise you. What's the bit of white tumble dryer tubing under the dash? If they threw the manual in as well , well that's worth £15 of anybody's money. There'll be an old man in a shed somewhere in Doncaster who can repair that seat. Don't start messing with it trying to make it something what it isn't. Keep it original. In fact, as it's so nice I would be inclined to go to DVLA for a proper age related plate, that way people look at the car and accept it looks classic, rather than at the moment where it's got a £99 number plate that is clearly just hiding the car's age.
Good luck with it, enjoy it. I'm on my second 944 and have driven about 80000 miles in them altogether - 36000 in the 1989 2.7 Lux that I bought ten years ago, and 43000 over the last three years in the current 1991 S2, and all without major expense, apart from a clutch in the Lux.
Finally, as I'm getting boring, this is definitely the place to be for help and advice. People like Jim (TR7V8) was consulted on by Porsche for the original 944, or was it the original Beetle? He did say but I can't remember
