I have removed the driver side sills to find major rust and was wondering if anyone has had the same and is it terminal!? or can this be repaired.

Would appreciate some advice as this is the first time i have ever attempted such a project.

Hi, is that a 944? Looks like quite major surgery but would think it can be done. Unless you are competent with a)welding and b)fabricating I don't think tackling this as a home project would be the wisest thing. Not only will you be doing inner and outer sills but looks like the rear suspension mounting point needs replaced as well, and you really have to get that correct.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, it is a 944 and you have summed up my feelings on attempting this work myself. If it had been just replacing the inner and outer sills i would managed this my low level of welding experience.

I suppose the next move is either to employ a body shop or simply sell it on to someone who can rebuild it or for spares.

Many thanx
