Talking to a bloke I caught fondling my round shiny things at Croft the other Sunday and he said he owned a wheel refurbishment establishment in the area (North East). He told me he would offer discount to any club member, and is at

Cheers Gary, I have seen their vans about. I'll give them a call as my wheels are in need of a re-furb.

Mike is the man to speak to, they will give 10% discount for club members. The 968 is now booked in so I'll report back with how I get on.

Wheels now all silver and shiney again. Took Mike longer than expected due to the state of the wheels under the existing paint
The fronts had quite a lot of pitting of the alloy which was aparently covered with filler and so was not visible until the wheel swere stripped back.
Dropped car off at 09:30, collected it just before 17:00.
I even had a courtesy call yesterday just to make sure that I still required the appointment today.

Hi,
Would also recommend a company in Barnsley called Metal magic around £45.00-£50.00 / wheel. They remove tyres, grit blast, acid clean and 2 powder coats and a clear coat oven baked and refit tyres and balance all for the price above. Have used them on my car and other familys cars and make a superb job, even offer 12 months guarentee. They also offer a same day drive in job too if you are too lazy to take your wheels off. Take in at 8.00am and collect around 5.00pm but has to be booked in advance.
There phone no is 01226 298544
Cheers
:D
