We should be able to get discount from Powerbulbs.com, but I think it requires our webmaster to request a discount code from them to use when orders are placed online. I've used them many times and the service has always been excellent and I've found the prices to be good too.

Mobil 1, £45 on the shelf, paid £37. Thats for five litres. Saved bucket loads when I supplied it to Porsche for the 12K service (better than them supplying it). Bought my new 90 piece socket set and windy tools there as well.

Yeah, Halfords still made a mint from you. I used to work for Lucas/Yuasa batteries (before they closed the factory & moved the warehouse to Wales) and they supply Halfords with their batteries. Halfords used to (and most probably still do) get them for £10 a battery.

I used to get them from the factory shop with an idea of selling them for a small profit, (£25) but I didn't get many takers when I posted the offer in Porsche-1, so I gave up on the idea.

That was when Lucas/Yuasa made the batteries in the U.K. The ones you get now are made in many different countries, (such as Indonesia) and are crap! The best batteries you can get now are Ultima or Bosch.

I popped down there today for some sockets and saved about 30% £5

Craig, go over to Halfords in Rose Kiln estate , Reading with your TIPEC membership card and ask for a trade card at the customer service/parts desk.

You will fill a short form out and they give you a trade discount card.

Apparently there have been varying success with this but I only got mine about 2 months ago so you should be OK.
