How about a 'folder' with all the club officials and OR's details (same idea as Porsch post) Photo of each person and short 'pen picture' of them. also regions, member discounts and so on. Initially to be sent to all members, then to new ones in the member pack.
This to take the form of a loose leaf folder, maybe colour colour cover with pages secured with treasury tags (those shoe lace type fasteners).
Then updates sent out with AT as required, i.e. say a region changes venue a new page is sent to all.

Web site.

Change the link for directions to meeting to Google maps, much easier to use and new members can get directions from home to the venue. If you have not used it try our web site - http://www.alexa-house.co.uk/alexa_find_us.html

Why is there no for sale page?

What about shirts with the TIPEC logo for ROs and AROs like the one that I have seen John wear at the monthly meetings?
It would make us easier to spot in the pub when new members attend for the first time.

I always thought that they were standard issue as the ARO also wore them.
Unless John had Polo shirts their names embroidered on. (IIRC Johns wife teaches people how to sew mail bags)

The A5 Porsche File that PCGB produce is unfortunately cost prohibitive.

All new members receive a list of the discounts and flyers promoting offers in their welcome packs.

Do we really need to send out seperate lists when all the details are printed in AT? Is it not another sheet of paper to be lost where AT's people tend to save?

We can add a picture of the Regional Organisers with the contact details which are in every copy of AT. We are currently gathering all the pictures to go on the web site.

I tried Google maps when I set up the regional pages but it wouldn't save properly. Maybe Guru can fix the issue?

Good idea on the forum advertising. Jim is it possible with this format?

The polo shirts were a one off freebie from the old supplier. Regalia is available to be purchased from our new supplier email me if you would like an order form.

TA Sean

I know the procedure for ordering regalia (as Sean says in his post above) - but can understand when folk say they'd like to see some samples before they commit (ideally at meets and events). Really don't know the solution though, as the idea was to avoid holding quantities of items in stock.

It would be good to make regalia more accessible to members though, as I'm sure there would be a very useful take-up.

If someone has a solution that doesn't involve the Club holding stock we'd like to here it.

Nothing to fix. See the "Click for directions link" that's been on the Southern Region page since, oh, I don't know when:

http://tipec.net/region_southern.php

If any RO needs help doing this, let me know and I'll write a quick guide.

Jim.

We could have a For Sale/Wanted forum. Whoever does the Classifieds section of the main website could then add adverts on the main site?

Sean has asked me to look at improving the format of the adverts on the main site... (haven't forgotten, just not got round to it yet...)

Jim.

We wanted the For Sale sections to be a member benefit hence only on the web site with admin access only.

It's easily accessable, the picture does need making bigger by a factor of 3 and the characters to 500 I reckon.
