Best curry I've ever had was at a Balti House in Brum.

Had a couple or really good ones in Leeds but there is one in Hertford that is my favorite.

Is there any way we could have a central/global calendar for all events/regional meets etc rather than having to filter through all the regions?

Yes. There are mods that do this for the software that runs our forums. See here for an example: http://phpbbcalendar.com/301/

that might work but really you need something els in one of the boxes as an image to entice folk into it.

Thats exactly what I was after.

If those organising kept the summary short and sweet like. REGION/EVENT NAME/EVENT LOCATION on the front in the appropriate date then a link to the thread or wherever for full details once someone opens it.

There are allot of regions doing some great stuff and the fewer clicks people need to see things the more likley they are to notice.

Has anything come of the 'Global Calender'?
In the old days I used to produce a overall events calender in the newsletter Club Torque and update it every issue.
A web based one would bre far better. I bounce about between different regions events all the time.

At Harewood House today the NE members were suprised that that SY had a stand at the show.
If they had have been aware they would have asked to attend with SY.
We could really do with an overall events list so members could see what was going on at sister regions.

Not an ideal scenario, but I'm on my neighbouring region's e-mail list and maybe just including neighbouring ROs on the e-mails may be a half-way solution.

It's good to talk...............
