A whole different slant on Readers Wives. :)

So, let's get this straight.

You want photos so that means the car will need cleaning.

You want me to add up how much it costs to keep.

And you want me to get my wife to give her opinion on the matter.

Hmmmm......

1. Easy, local Polish cleaners at local supermarket

2. As far as the wife is concerned it does 50 to the gallon and £50 a year to service

3. A bit more difficult, tell her its an investment

4. Pray

I've learned my lesson, I paid for the Turbo with the switch card from the joint account to prove how much it was. I always show her the receipts and she keeps them in the folder so they're safe. I'm too long in the tooth to worry about it these days. She knows I'm addicted, so she puts up with me.

I've spoken with my publicist, he has a slight hangover, and I'm already working on my article after a few pointers. :D

He might be along in a wee while to post if his hangover wears off?

Interesting that you mention wives. At the risk of sounding prudish, my wife was less than impressed (and I'm with her on this one, what with TIPEC being a 'family club') by the photo of a woman of certain years err, 'giving it the finger' in a recent christmas party report photo in All Torque. If that's the best that the club can do, then maybe we're better off without such pictures?

No doubt I'll now get abused on here by a faceless key-board warrior for expressing an opinion that maybe goes against the grain, but rest assured that every single picture I put a direct link to from the NW region page on the main site to my flickr account gets carefully considered so that it causes no offence to either the viewer or the subject of the picture.

C'mon gents, let's up our game.

On a related note, our Northern Correspondent is keen to hear any constructive criticsm of the recent 'non-identical twins' story.

seen that one .... is she 1. scratching her head? 2. adjusting her wig? 3. revealing her fixed finger deformity? 4. giving the finger? :?

Maybe worth a different thread or perhaps better an email or pm rather than a random reply in a random thread!

I saw the pic and took it as a bit of fun really, my kids 11 & 8 know about swearing but know not to use it and they don't read all torque anyway. Personally can't see the problem. I didn't take offence certainly or think the club was brought down by it.

Tony, as one of our new 991 drivers, maybe a note from you on the car/club would be good. A lot of us will be driving them in 10 years time.
