Would I allow an owner of a 996 converted to look like a 997 in my register... NO - because that's about the model
Would they be welcome to attend events, sure they would, as would anyone who asked...- because that's about the person

Now I wonder if I'd be allowed to tag onto a pre 1973 drive out... I think not

It takes all sorts of people to make this world go round, and I sincerely believe theirs a place for all of the clubs interest and members :albino:

Yep , but what about Porsche developing the 996 into the 997 , which looks a lot nicer IMHO ........much more like a 993

now then Sam! It was the 356 that was based on beetle parts and was developed into the 911!! It was some time before they figured out that the engine ought to go under the bonnet and biult the 924!!

We had a 1974 1200 in the late 80s.It had already been partially restored i.e. sills, running boards etc and was structurally sound but scruffy so we had it resprayed. We would have kept it longer but we had so many offers for it until eventually we couldnt refuse. The only real problem we had was that the heater was useless,so not much fun in the winter. :)
