This years Curry Run was also on Drive it Day,
As usual the day started around 9am where the two regions met up at different locations, I met the Hampshire guys at Balckbushe Airport while the TV crew met at the Novello, the first route took us to a mutual meeting point for coffee, ths sat nav said 1hr 30 for us but with no traffic on the Hampshire back lanes it took 20 mins less.
Note to Self: Don't drop waypoints into carparks
After our coffee meet, the 17 cars set off in smaller groups. A fantastic mix of cars from my humble 2.7 Boxster, a lovely 928, couple of aircooled and plenty of the more modern watercooled cars.
Seems funny calling a 19 yr old 996 modern
Route 2 was supposed to be 2.5 hrs but sat navs were saying 3.5, so we agreed to miss a bit off. Of course we lost a couple en route but no decent drive out is complete without someone getting lost is it ?
The roads and route were great, with very few people out there to spoil out fun.
A few other members joined us at the end for the curry, where we pretty much took over the joint. The staff came out to take photos of the cars
