After an interesting and eventful club night on Tuesday,where we saw returning members who we had not seen since last October,because they had been on a world cruise! five 928 drivers and four cars at an ordinary club night! the welcoming of new member Jake with his smashing 997, half a dozen guests, who we hope will join the club, we all reconvened on Friday for a quiet nights model car racing at Millstream Raceway in Ringwood! This venue is the home of the British Slot Car Club,and is the UK and Europe's largest slot car racing centre. We had a fab time, and it was fun to see the competitive instincts emerging from the most unlikely folk. Well done to Alan B who was our overall winner for the evening. I think we will be running other events at this brilliant venue, probably in the winter months, it is a very flexible format with two huge 8 lane circuits, able to accommodate many competitors simultaneously. Pics up later!
