So the sun's out and my Porsche is on the road despite its current thirst for oil. It's been a while since I've seen any of the lovely TIPEC chaps and chappesses so I was wondering if anybody was up for a meet up in Devon?

I know that when the monthly meetings were held just outside of Launceston a few members from Devon were a bit reluctant to make the journey so hopefully a Devon meet might be more appealing.

If not any of you Cornish chaps up for it? I'll be in Falmouth for a bit this weekend although I doubt it'll be in the 944.

The club has seemed a bit dead in this region lately so it would be nice to revive it a little.

I'd be interested. I am based close to Exeter.

Although I'm in Sussex, I'll be in Devon and Cornwall at the end of July, mostly in Holsworthy. A good chance to meet other 944's would be great!

End of July sounds good to me. My parents live just outside of Holsworthy so I find myself in that area all the time.

Saying that I don't know of anywhere good to meet up around there. I'm thinking a pub with a decent sized car park that we could meet up, look over the cars and have a natter over a drink if that sounds good with you guys?

Could always make it a bit further south to make access for n8ony a bit easier although I'm at the other end and in North Devon but I'm used to meets requiring a bit of a trek.

Rob, do you want to suggest somewhere to meet? Launceston is easy to get to, but by all means choose somewhere appropriate.

I'll be in Holsworthy and Week St Mary from 25th July - 1st August, but mostly at a festival from 27th - 29th. So a weekday evening before or after the weekend somewhere would be great!

I'll have a think about it and see what I can come up with. I just discovered that my tax runs out at the end of this month so I best get the car out and get the most out of it ;)

The plan is to meet up at the Bickford Arms just outside of Holsworthy from around 6 onwards.

I hope to see some of you there! :)

What date, I can't see one mentioned in the thread, or was it today and I missed it?

Not a problem. I'll probably be hanging around there for a while.

Some proof that there's more than one Porsche owner in Devon, plus a visiting long-lost twin:
