I think the answer is probably "No" (unless you've heard otherwise).

Several years ago I did attend the Cornwall & Devon region meetings a few times, often it was just myself, Steve (the RO) and his wife.

Despite Steve's huge efforts to drum up some enthusiasm from the members, which incidentally won him the "RO of the Year" award one year, the highest number of cars that ever gathered when I was present was four (five if you count the time Sean Smallman and Chris Kenward turned up in separate cars to present the aforementioned award).

I eventually stopped going, so I don't know what the current situation is, but as the region page on the TIPEC website says "RO required" I would guess that the members' apathy won the day and there are no regional meetings any more.

Hi there fellow west country person!,i don't think there are many of us porsche owners down this neck of the woods,i have been down to the club meets a few times but trouble is the mileage to just get there,i am up at junc 27 m5 and it really is just a bit too far for such a short visit,it is such a spread out couple of counties and i really cannot see much of an answer to it...can anyone else?,other than finding a separate venue for each county, shame really.

The region is crying out for someone to pick up the reigns and continue where Steve left off.

Geographically the region does have it's challenges and the long term solution would probably be to split the two counties.

As it stands the member base is so small you would struggle as two regions. The club needs someone to step forward and co-ordinate activity.

Maybe find a venue that is more suitable and hold a quarterly meeting?

How about being temporarily tagged to the Bristol Region who are very active and have lots going on at weekends throughout the year?

Please contact me if any of you guys have a suggestion or any ideas on how we can move things forward.

If you would like to be included on the circulation for the Bristol group then drop Sue or I your contact details. I appreciate that it's too far for the evening monthly meeting but you might find something you would like to join in with one weekend.

I'm in Devon and have recently gotten my 944 back on the road after a good 10 years away from them so would like to bring it along to a TIPEC meeting.

I used to attend the Devon/Cornwall meets but as I was stuck in a lowly VW I didn't attend regularly and stopped going when Steve left the club. I'd be up for the odd meet in Bristol or Cornwall (my Brother lives in Falmouth) and something more regularly if it was held in Devon.
