Hi Folks

Next Monday - 11th October is Club Night and will be the first at our new venue.

The Red Lion has served us well for the last 4 years but the internal refurb has left us without a function room for the dark nights and so we've been forced to move elsewhere.

The new venue is Westmead Hotel, Redditch Road, Hopwood. Birmingham B48 7AL - an easy 1 mile from junction 2 M42 heading towards Birmingham on the right hand side.

Full details can be found here: http://www.westmeadhotel.co.uk/Default.aspx

The venue has just been refurbished at a huge cost and offers us very upmarket and pleasing bar and restaurant facilities togther with use of various function rooms.
The car park has only one entrance/exit so is secure and benefits from CCTV

Whether this new venue is as successful as the Red Lion only time will tell but please come along on our first meet to take a look at the venue, have a drink and help convince the hotel they have done the right thing by accepting us as their guests :D

I'll bring a Playstation along so we can act daft with some games and take advantage of the large plasma screen in the function room

Paul

Shame about The Red Lion - if only they hadn't made a whole in that wall and removed 'our' door.

Just had a look at the route to the new venue - excellent cross country blast for me. 911 might get a bit dirty but will be worth it on that run. Doh - just realised my route takes me through a ford!! Not the best plan for the season we are in. Gunna have to take a slight detour then - oh yeah!!

See you on the 11th....

Forget the detour and put some muck under the wheelarches! It will keep you out of the pubs next week cleaning up the mess :D

Sorry Paul in London all week from tomorrow.

Good luck at the new venue!

Hope to see everyone at Vakas if this is still on next Saturday night?

Cheers,

Adrian

I've put you on the list for Vakas

The new venue seemed generally well received although its very different from the Red Lion. Hopefully once the shock of the change has died down we'll all get used to the function room, plasma TV and air conditioning :D The car park will be great for some tyre kicking in the spring :D

Paul
