Hi Michael,

I have had a lot of interest from people in and around the Peterborough region and it's something i've been looking into in the last few weeks.
As Sean has mentioned, the bristol region started out small and it only takes a few keen people to help that grow.
Those I've spoken to are keen to help set something up.

Hope to have some more info very soon,

Thank you Jason. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Thought I'd change it to my real name rather than a nickname to make it easier for people to know who I am. Ironically it appears to have had the opposite effect.

Folks,

We're looking to set up a new region in Peterborough to cover the North Cambs, South Lincs and West Norfolk area (thus East Midlands)

Is there anybody in the area who might be interested in joining us.

Currently we have three interested parties (1 x 944, 1 x 911 and 1 x 981) and are looking for more.

Please get in touch.

Stuart

Stuart

Great to see that you are kicking something off in the area. :thumbright:

Have you got a venue and day in mind for your monthly meeting?

Here to help if you need anything.

I'm going to have a look at a pub that myself and Stuart believe is a good venue and hopefully we'll have some concrete news about the meeting place and dates soon. Watch this space and i'll post a new thread with the definite information once I have it.

Just want to encourage you guys...a small beginning can really go places!! In the mid 90s I was talking to the then chairman at the lack of a meeting in the Midlands and, long story short, I started meeting with a handful of people and ended up with over 100 members - the Central region was born and is still a strong region 20 years later..!!..

Best wishes and look forward to driving over to you guys one day - probably on a warm evening next summer

If I can get my 944 sorted this weekend and back on the road I'll be there.

That's the one mate. Even if you don't get the 944 on the road and have to come in a less exciting car then just come and join up with us. Will be great to see anyone there. We're on facebook if you use it, search Peterborough Tipec and you should find us.

It would be helpful to start a Peterborough thread.

There are 2 or 3 threads open for north anglia and south lincs or east midlands. so much has been merged. Would you mind tidying it up a bit for us and changing name to Peterborough region please.

And maybe deleting the posts that confuse things like this one if it isn't too much trouble. I'll keep it clean and tidy after this, I promise.
