It is a little late to mention this but this sounds as if it has the makings of a great event. This is a weekend event with various activities taking place, including 3 films being show (The Italian Job, Senna and another I cannot remember), a Friday night lecture with Chris Barrie regarding his love of cars and possibly some talk about Red Dwarf. There will also be a local ale company serving ales designated for this event!

But that is not all. There will be static car displays outside the Broadgate, stock car racing taking place in Cox Street car park in addition to there being cars driving around the Ring Road (which will be closed in the anticlockwise direction this Sunday) of various sorts.

It certainly seem to have many of the right ingredients. For more information have a look on http://www.coventrymotofest.com. There has been some press coverage too:

As long as your car is pre 1994 (or the model was made before 1994) you should be fine. If you can, it would be helpful to register on the website.

So, are any of you chaps up for this?

I'm there now with my 928 parked up in Broadgate, but mostly Coventry marques returning home! Saw your 44 arriving a few minutes after me. Will come and chat if you're near your car later today.

Damn, I was keeping an eye out for you yesterday as well, but I did bump into the chap with the Scirocco who knew of you Adrian. We shall have to catch up at some point :).

Scirocco Eric is also keen 928 owner!

Chas did you know that the Motofest has made a fine photo of your car the subject of a quiz over on Facebook?

Hope to meet you at another event soon. Not attending today's Motofest but weather looks great for Ring Road parade.

Cheer for the headsup Adrian. I see they found the fact about the balance shafts originating from Coventry quite interesting (to me, it was an interesting quirk about the 944s).

The Ring Road parade was great fun it had to be said :).

Indeed, we shall have to catch up at one of the events. Do you still go to any of the local meets?
