 Post subject: Scottish Region September monthly meeting minutes

We a very warm welcome to everyone this evening with 16 Porkers and 20 bodies along to tonight's meeting at Boness Motor Museum. Welcome along a few new faces/members this evening Andy, Rod and Nick who have came along this evening to find out what the region gets up to on a regular basis.

We mentioned events that have recently taken place such as Ignition festival, Annual BBQ and Concourse day, Scotland's Largest gathering of Porsches at Calderglen and the wee trip to Mull a few of you took part in. Special thanks to Scott Allan and John Davidson for there hard work on the Ignition festival event in Glasgow and to Brian Wood for his Porsche Extravaganza at Calderglen two fantastic events I loved being at and roll on next years version. Watch out for the next All Torque next month (October) for articles on the Ignition festival and The BBQ day out.

This coming Sunday 11th see options for those of you with time on your hands, firstly PCGB Via Brian Wood has offered members the chance of a wee Sunday run details below.

We will meet up at Dobbies, Stirling, FK9 4UF on Sunday 11 September and head North on the A84 passing Lochearnhead and over Glen Ogle on the A85, turning right at Lix Toll onto the A827 and into Killin.
The stunning Falls of Dochart are in Killin and we would then continue along the side of Loch Tay to the Kenmore Hotel, Kenmore, PH15 2NU for lunch. The journey time is just under 90 minutes from Dobbies in Stirling to the hotel.
I have arranged soup and a sandwich with tea and coffee for £9.95 per person.
Timings, Sunday 11 Sept:
10.30am, meet at Dobbies Stirling.
11.00am, leave Dobbies for the Kenmore Hotel.
12.30pm, lunch at the Kenmore Hotel.
Anyone wishing to come along to the above please email me ASAP need to know within the next 24 hrs for numbers etc and I will pass on your intentions to Brian.

Secondly this coming Sunday at Knockhill is Supercar Touring Day and this maybe of interest to you if the above is not what you fancy. Scott , John and myself will be having a day at Knockhill so will see you there if you are going.


September 18th Sees another invite from PCGB Via Brian wood for a detailing/BBQ Event details below.

On Saturday 1st October we will be visiting Angelwax in Glasgow, detailer Craig has kindly putting on a detailing for dummies day for those of you interested in keeping the car in tip top looking condition. This day will be from 10am till 2pm and will incur a cost of £10 a head. Refreshments will be provided by the club on the day free gratis and a chance to find out and see demonstrated the Angelwax products and a chance to purchase at a discount price . We have invited our PCGB buddies to join us also on that day and we are looking for approx 15 bodies for this day. Meet details are TBC. Let me know ASAP if you wish to join us for this day out.

Next months monthly meet WILL NOT BE AT BONESS MOTOR MUSEUM but will see us visit Skidz in Falkirk this evening is something a wee bit different to the norm and sees us visiting the Skidz set up to which is a Alloy wheel, in car Audio, Tyre and Security specialists. This will be a 7pm till 10pm affair along with the normal monthly meet info. Please give me a wee email if you are looking to come along to get an idea of numbers. Big thanks to John and Nick for looking into and arranging this evening for everyone.


We are in the process of putting together a Sunday Lunch Run sometime next month (October) so be on the look out for details in a separate email regarding this day out.

November sees a few of us going to the NEC in Birmingham for a wee jolly to the Classic Car Show which is the weekend of 11th, 12th and 13th of November. Flights still available from Edinburgh and we are staying at the Travelodge Hotel at Birmingham Airport. The DISCOUNT CODE FOR TICKETS IS, CSCMS16



Also on November 24th (Thursday Evening) will see us have our annual Ten Pin Bowling night out at Deer Park in Livingston. A fun chilled night out nothing to serious and a few prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the top scorers. I will send a reminder email closer to the time for those wanting to go just email me how many you are so I can get an idea of numbers.

We normally meet at 7.30 for an 8.00pm start on the first Wednesday of every month at:

The museum has a wonderful collection of ‘James Bond’ cars and memorabilia and offers light refreshments. There is ample parking for members and visitors.
