With Cheshire & Staffs and Northwest members we had a fantastic day with the Rothmans 924 yesterday on a charity day talking blind and visually impaired clients of the charity around Three Sisters Circuit for a few high-ish speed laps. Against a 911, 944, 944 Turbo, Boxster S and 928, I think we did the 924 proud

A touch damp and greasy in the morning but it dried out nicely in the afternoon for some tyre squealing fun

Will add some dash cam footage when I get to it but here's a bit we did for their cameras: https://www.facebook.com/100009877535453/videos/333352033670712/

3 sisters is very short, but good fun. My 997 was a bit out of shape several times on the slippery morning surface. I'm delighted that the good burghers of both TIPEC North west and Cheshire & Staffs are prepared to get on-board with this type of event to share our cars with others who are never gonna be able to drive a Porsche because of their poor or non-existent sight.

Sincere thanks to all who came along on the day. The team at Galloways really appreciate it.

Richard.

April next year Tim. I believe we're on the contact list now for invites to the next one. Cheshire & Staffs and Northwest regions will keep us all posted.

Yep - looking forward to doing many more events next year. Helping folk out whilst having a hoon around a track seems like an fantastic combo. Will have to look into this side of things further.

Little bit of footage by That's Lancashire on the Galloways Track Day :D

It was a fantastic day out for all. I certainly had a wail of a time in the Rothmans and even better hearing the feedback from Galloways and their clients! Cant wait to do it again :D

Is this year's event still on for Monday 8th? I might have the 968 back, in which case I'm up for a gentle amble around. Do we have to register in advance or just show up?
Tim.

Depends on whether it's back from the painter. Hoping to pick it up all sparkly next Friday, in which case I'll do my best to be there with it.
If it's not ready, I might come along to gawp anyway.
Tim.

P.s. got the forms - ta Chris.

Three Sisters race circuit has closed its doors today and appears to have gone into liquidation today owing around £2m to creditors.... the Galloways event may be postponed... more as I find out...

Whatever the state of play with Three Sisters as a business, I can confirm that Galloways Society for the Blind have CANCELLED the driving day at the circuit on Monday 8th May.

I have received an email direct from James at Galloways who hopes to arrange something else later in the year.
