Per our Events Listing, we plan a run out to celebrate the New Year this coming Sunday 4th January 2015.

If you wish to join us (there are currently circa 6 Porsches going) please meet at the Whipping Stocks Pub, (WA16 9EX) near Knutsford from 10am. Please let me know if you do plan on attending.

Route will take us to Ashbourne via Uttoxeter on the back roads with a Pub Lunch stop planned.

All welcome.

Nobody would hold anybody up on a run out to Derbyshire. A few weeks ago I took a pal and did Pickmere, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Buxton, Matlock, Derby, Ashbourne, Leek, Congleton, and back to Pickmere. I took our new (4 month old) Mercedes SLK for a blast...... waste of time - we are sure we counted about 50 speed cameras on that route. In some places as you are driving through one camera you can actually see the next one - and they weren't average speed cameras..... just money spinners.

What would you be driving?

mmm obviously I've been to the wrong (right) roads previously..
I was aware of them having quite a few cameras nowadays but I must have been lucky in the past.

I'd be in the McLaren.

Great run out today if a touch icy early on with only a few hairy moments
Good food at Monsall Head Hotel on a spectacular route with views across Derbyshire at every turn.
Thanks Gareth and Stef for organising!!
