Heads up: the next Friday food run is scheduled for 18th July. It may be another Friday Feast but could be our first Curry Night. I have a co-conspirator working with me but I'm a little concerned about friendly Porsche parking and unreserved table availability at our curry house of choice.

However, fear not dear hungry people. There is time yet to carry out further research on this subject and I have been given a lead regarding a suitable Friday Feast location with a view to joining up with our Cheshire and Staffs co-members.

Remember, we always endeavour to provide value for money, easy seating and parking to suit my paranoia (I wouldn't expect anyone to leave their car where I wouldn't leave my own).

More news as I make it up.

Can I get any indication here whether anyone from Cheshire and Staffs region is planning on attending this Friday Feast?

Methinks if there's no news from Cheshire and Staffs members here regarding participation, we'll change tack and head towards Rawtenstall to meet up with the Rochdale Charter.

It would be a shame not to meet up with the other region, maybe we could find a Curry House as I was looking forward to a hot curry....!

Unfortunately I will be sitting on a train back from London on Friday evening so I won't be able to make this.

I'm near Stockport and would like to make the event if possible.... happy to travel to your usual meeting place.... its always nice to go for a drive out! Rochdale/ Rawtenstall is OK for me... as near/ far as Preston....

No problem - all welcome.

After a series of emails, Simon and I have devised a cunning plan...*

Friday 18th July will be a Friday Feast run to Rawtenstall.

The half baked meet up with Cheshire and Staffs will move to Friday 15th August and Simon will be working hard to make the inter- region event work.

We can't promise a curry night because of logistics but we'll do our best.

*geddit?

So Friday Feast details for 18th:

Meet at The Boatyard at 6.30 to be on-the-road at 6.45 sharp.

We're heading for the Old Cobblers Inn, New Hall Hey Road, Rawtenstall, BB4 6HR. It's part of the Fayre and Square chain so a fairly extensive menu of traditional pub-chain food with an emphasis on vfm...

For those wishing to meet there, I would imagine that The Boatyard convoy will arrive at about 7.15.

The curry night is now scheduled for August and Simon is in charge because I've lost interest.

Hope you can make it!

I have only just joined the fun on the forum and frustratingly was waiting on a couple of the guys that attend both NW and C&S to feed back on date possibilities. This hasn't happened hence the lack of response. Though I did email Andy Lane and heard nothing back...

We should arrange a follow up when folks are clear of holidays in August. We are going to struggle to get much commitment at short notice.
