Really sorry I couldn't make it in the end...diary error ! Today is my daughters 8th birthday so was already booked to go for another type of traditional English fare last night (a curry) along with family and several of her school friends. Not been thinking straight past couple of weeks...some would say ever !

Given the picture above, seems Banny's is become even more of an alluring destination...do you get free muffins now also ;-)

What happened on the run ?? Probably best not to overtake cars if they have blue flashing lights on :-)

He overtook us! I could see his headlights then suddenly he was right behind me and put on some pretty light flashing in his front grill. Did he "talk" to anyone?

The last words from Tony R to me was "I think that's it, we should scarper", old habits die hard eh?

I take full responsibility for the dodgy direction changes and apologise fully. Unmarked BMW's are a different matter altogether.

Excellent turn out though: 10 cars, 16 people. And a tv star!

TV star Richard . Did I miss something?
So did anyone make it to the pub?

Yes 3 cars and 4 people made it to the pub. Me, Richard, Andy and Mrs H. The BMW with the blue flashing light actually passed us all and then scarperd off into the distance which was a relief. Had a nice pint shandy and a good giggle about the incident. Made it an entertaining evening, cracking turn out and was good to see everyone. I beleive the tv star was celebrity chef Jamie Oliver !!

Turned out to be a friend calling for a brew. Phew .

Tv star was the white 964.

Very nice it is too.

Can't find a link to the episode to embarrass it's owner Steve though.

Mostly - Dictionery definition - As regards the the greater part or number -in this case the greater part went well but we lost most of our number after some dodgey direction changes and a little blue flashing light episode !!

Ordinarily I would would have posted an indepth and informative event update regarding this chippy tea run on the regional page of the main web-site. However, technical issues have prevented me doing so. Sincere apologies.

What I can tell you is that 16 people rocked up in no less than 10 Porsche cars. We had a 997 Carrera S, two 996 turbos, two 994s, a 996 Carrera, a 991 Carrera S, a 987 C, a 993 Carrera and a 964 Cabriolet.

Don't forget you can keep up with all this and more on our Facebook page. Search, if you dare, for The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts Club North West. Full of nonsence and broken down Lamborghini's, non-approved photos from new model launches, our R.O. in lycra and so much more. It's a hoot, or something.
