TIPEC SCOTLAND
MARCH 2014 MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES.

Welcome to everyone to this month's meeting 14 bodies and a couple of Porkers in the car park most of which are still tucked up in the garage on trickle charge. A special welcome this evening to Alan Hay a new member to the Scottish region and the proud owner of a nice Boxster, Alan has restored many cars over the years and a real car buff from the pictures he showed us on the night.

Welcome along this evening also is Elaine Whitelaw our new ARO West Of Scotland. Elaine has took the role on as Alan Neilson is soon to be family man and will be taking up the role of fatherhood and has stood down as ARO but will still be a member and very active still within the region.

The main agenda this evening was confirming the diary of events for the coming 2014 season and a real nice mixture this season once again. The first event will be on Saturday 5th April (10am start) at Ecosse Automative Ltd, Bomains Industrial Estate, Boness EH51 0QG, garage owner Matt Collins will host a rolling road/workshop visit day at a reduced cost of £20 and this event is open to anyone wishing to put there car on the rolling road to see what she is putting out. I will be putting on rolls, tea/coffee and a few nibbles for everyone attending free gratis. Anyone wishing to go please contact myself ASAP and we have about 8/10 cars confirmed but do have space for a few more so if you fancy it then pencil it in to your diary and let me know.

Next this evening was the region's spring run a separate email has been circulated regarding the spring run to which will be the weekend of the 25th/26th of April, James McLauchlan ARO East has done a great job putting this one together and a good few attending, lets pray for some good weather for that weekend. Anyone has any questions etc regarding this weekend please contact James direct on the contact details below.

The next event after this will be on the 11th of May at the Grampian Motor Museum in Alford. We will be attending as a club and be amongst many other car clubs on the day exhibiting and enjoying what the museum has to offer. Please visit http://www.gtm.org.uk for a wee look at there website. I have a few names for this one already but plenty spaces left so please contact me if you wish to go a nice drive up in the morning in convoy and the show is open to the public from midday onwards, full meet details etc to follow. This is a new venue for us having never been before so a new show for the region and something different.

Also in May will be the ever popular Bridge of Allan Classic Car show in Stirling on the 18th of May always a favorite show for the members and always a good day out I have to say and always has auto jumble some form of entertainment and a great ice cream van or two from memory. We will meet at Stirling Services for this one at 0900/0915 depart for the show. Once again anyone wishing to go then please get in touch with myself ASAP and ill put you on the list!! We will have the Gazebo and tea/coffee facilities as per the norm for the shows/events we go to so all you caffeine lovers out there don't panic!!!

The Christmas bash has already been put together by Elaine Whitelaw ARO West, I have circulated the email regarding this around the members and I know it is still very early on in the year but the venue is extremely popular and to avoid disappointment we need to be reserving early. The Hotel is the Mercure Barony Castle Hotel and Spa in the Scottish Borders on the 20th December a very nice venue Elaine has sought out for us please visit http://www.baronycastle.com for a look at the venue looks spectacular to be honest. If you have any questions etc regarding the Christmas bash arrangements then please contact Elaine direct on the contact details below. Many thanks Elaine for all the donkey work on this one I have to say the Hotel looks stunning. BOOK EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other events etc in the diary are as you see folk's the Annual TIPEC national show in Beaulieu looks fabby again a separate email has went out regarding this and a few have booked up already and any questions etc regarding this contact myself direct on the contact details below.
