:( Rather foolishly I got speeding a couple of weeks ago at fractionally the wrong side of 3 figures. It was a fair cop as they say I don't dispute the speed but I'd be interested to know which will affect your insurance more, a short disqualification or a 6 point endorsement, does anybody know the answer? :(

From my friends issues with a recent ban (similar excess speed) he was quoted allmost double.

I think, possibly, maybe? that our company insurance will not entertain anyone who has been banned in the last 12 months. I know that they are not interested in points, unless you have 12.

I don't think you will get an option, I was told by a traffic cop, I know one who is an ok guy, that anything over double figures is an automatic ban. This might just be the case for the M74 that runs through our area, as it is bad for speeders, just ask my wife. Let us know how you get on.

I believe the critical thing is the length of ban, anything under 56 days means you don't surrender your licence back to DVLA & that can make a difference. I'd get over to www.pepipoo ASAP!
