Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend an insurance company to give a good quote on a '89 944 S2.

The car is used as a daily driver, also used for work purposes with around 8,000 miles a year, 2,500 miles work related.

I've tried Heritage but they're taking the p*ss at £1,151! I'm currently with Privilege. Last years quote was £330 fully comp. Only downside to this policy is I do not have an agreed value on the car, only market value.

Any help or recommendation would be greatly received.

In the days when my 944 was my daily driver & doing 25K+ PA I couldn't get agreed value. I believe it is only on a classic type policy but no doubt one of the Ins Co's will do it. Have a chat to Lancaster, RH & Hagerty these are mainstream classic insurance companies & may help.

I have agreed value with travel too & from work & max 10K miles. It also covers modifications which matters on an old 944 as they nearly all have been. NIG is the company through Footman James. I was with Adrian Flux before with a similar policy & theres a discount through the club with them. Try them both. But the market changes constantly so I don't know if this policy is available for new business. I'm paying £300 agreed value £4500.

I pay £380, none classic policy. Unlimited miles, recovery, not garaged and parked on a licensed premises car park.

Try Need to Insure 01623 720081.

My 944 Cabby costs £230 on an agreed value, limited miles (5,000) policy including commuting, performance mods and it isn't garaged.

Hi Ben.

My 1991S2 is through the RAC and it cost me £265 fully comp with no mileage restrictions. Full no claims.
