Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a decent electrical car polisher with adjustable variable speed? I'm having difficulty finding one with a slow enough speed.

Cheers,

Ben :bounce:

The Meguiars one goes fairly slow, you can get 10% off from More than Polish.

Mine is a CP180 from Clarkes 1000-3000rpm. Worked well last weekend & just bought some pads & G3 for it.

Generally, the best professional polishers are the Kestrel DAS 6 and the Megs G220

Lots of info here: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php

Hi,

I've been told that the Megiuars G220 is a rebadged DAS-6 but the DAS-6 is about £50 cheaper. See link below:

I don't believe it is - I think they are two different machines that are very close to each other in performance.

Hi,

It wouldn't surprise me at all. They probably stick another £40 - £50 onto the cost just so you get the Meguiars name on it. It's probably similar to what supermarkets do with own branding. Like the big name brands but at a fraction of the cost.

Check out the specifications below - they're practically the same:

We stock both, they do seem similar in many ways as they use standard typpe/function components, and performance & reliability wise there is nothing to choose between them IMHO.

The G220 is on offer at the moment, £30 off, so £119.95, and I plan to bring a stack to Gaydon next week, plus compounds etc.

Yes, I will, though as we are one of the last UK stockists to have any left, they may be gone by then. We have had a bit of a run on them in the last few days.

Happy to take your order and payment for free delivery tomorrow/asap to secure one !!
