Wow, controversial topic! I bought some nail polish remover as it contains acetone. I got a few funny stares whilst I was rummaging around the hand & nail section in Boots. I read this might remove it. I will try a small patch first.

Mike, read the label, some nail polish remover contains things other than acetone, such as lanolin. Try cellulose thinner or methylated spirit.

I used Rain X way back 12 years ago before it was supported the raving looneys.
Lost a a whole wiper blade on my 944 Turbo, on the M25 in heavy traffic, in torrential rain.
The rain X kept my screen totally clear.
The only reason I don't use it is I was advised by a friend that it contains products that if you need any spraying done on the car a nightmare.
I was advised this attending the Doune show in Scotland with NE region in support of our scottish clan.
Colin a full time sprayer was our first ever Scottish RO back way back when we were the 924 to 968 Club.

Live and breathe the Marque,
Stephen
