Just got 3 cans of ACF-50 through the post. It is an Anti-Corrosion spray. Here is the info about it here http://www.acf-50.co.uk/acf-50.htm. I've been reading various forums about it and it seems it is mainly used by bikers and gets some good reviews. Anyway I have decided to give it a go on all the crusty bits underneath the 928 that don't already have a protective coating of engine oil or ATF from various leaks. Seems it only lasts about 12 months so it will get applied yearly when I have the car up on stands for maintenance. Anybody used the stuff before?

I've only done the front suspension so far. Wrapped a bag around the breaks to protect them and then just coated anything dry and crusty. I didn't really clean anything before hand, perhaps I should have gone at it with a wire brush first. Anyway the stuff looks promising, sprays on easily and really seems to penetrate and soak into the dry rusty bits. Should have took a before and after photo but I think it looks better than it did and will hopefully slow that corrosion right down. Think if you have new suspension parts etc that you want to protect then this might make a good semi-permanent clear coating.

Being a bit of a biker I know this stuff already ... Yes it works, but it's not pretty. I used it liberally on my GSXR a couple of years ago but it got really sticky and gritty in the throttle body linkages under the tank. I cleaned it off and have used GT85 since.
