Have a choice of 3 brands all close to £300 for 4 fitted. 205/45 17 front, 255/40 17 rear. Avon ZZ3, Khumo sport & Falcon 912.
Any ideas which are best??? Can't find any reports on the Falcons as they are too new. Don't have good memorys of the last Khumos I got. Avons on the other hand....... Wish I could test the lot.

Assuming you mean Falkens then that would be my choice. Had Avons on my Alfa & they were so-so. The other option would be Goodyears if available in that size.

Hi :)

I would go for the Falkens as well although the latest pattern is a "452"

I had them in 16 inch and now have them in 18 inch...

Brilliant in the dry and good in the wet :)

All the best Brett :)

Try speaking to Steve at Simply Tyres. http://www.simplytyres.co.uk/specialist.html
He has a wealth of knowledge on tyres for the 944 and can tell you exactly how each performs in wet / dry and on track / road. Surprised me about certain brands.
I have Falkens on my 911 - Steve persuaded me to look at Toyos in preference for the 944 T.
Brilliant prices too and will fit at your place.

Falkens it is then. Though the 452 is now obsolete. 912's are the new 452 & have only just arrived in the country. Always used to go for Yokohama but think there too soft for a '44. Since this is a daily drive they do need to last at least 12 months. Surpriced how quickly the Conti sports have died. There still legal but the rears have perished. It's like driveing on ice! :?
Thanks for the input! :D

 All the new 912's are now sold in the country in my size! Not another container until the end of March. Some places listing them in stock but when you ring up they try to tell you that there not really suitible for a Porsche! Khumos reckoned to be ok but they still have a budget brand stigma. Very limitied choice in these sizes at the moment. Avon ZZ3's were better than Continental when tested. So thats what it's got to be. Unless spending loads. These are £370 including vat all in. So could be worse. It's fun being able to light up the rears in second. But when you can do that in a Lux it's definately time for new rubber!

My fronts are 205/50 17's & there out of stock. There won't be any more either. Got the Avons ZZ3's fitted. Not driven it yet so can't comment. Look just like Eagles. Cheaper than Black circles though! :D At least I'm mobile again.
