I have a 911 turbo 2 3.6, and I have decided to get the speedline split rims refurbished as they have corroded somethink cronic.
The words speedline and wheel sizes are etched into the rims and was hoping to find someone who can refurb and keep this detail

Does eanyone have any recommendations or had these wheels don before

Cheers
John

You could try asking these guys

Had 2 sets of wheels done by them recently, including a set of BBS LM splits & they did a great job for sensible money.

Does it? How do you arrive at that conclusion?

If you need transport for the wheels I've used these people several times, very good and reliable.

I would always use someone local to me, no need to parcel the wheels, you can inspect them when you collect them.

Ideally, yes, but it's not always possible to find someone local who will take on split rims.

There's a bit of info on the second page of the "928 Alloy wheels - restored" thread below.

Hi
thanks I had read that amusing (not!) post which reminds me of all the things I hate about forums. Concerning "Mike at Fenwicks Alloy Wheel Refurbishing Centre in Northallerton" well his website doesnt exist anymore so doesnt bode well on how long his company might be around for (sorry Mike, but if you want to attract new business get your website up asap even if its just a single page describing what you do, it must be easy if my wife can do it, searching for your name in all search engines just brings up dead links). I live down in essex and we have Diamond Styling in Shepards bush which are supposed to be the best but at £250 a wheel and delivery time of 4-5 weeks is a bit over the top, i dont care about the price if the job is the best but 4-5 weeks is too long to have my car sitting on bricks in a friends barn. The reason for the long time they say is so they can get a big batch and do it all at once.

There's a company called wicked wheels based in Crawley, West Sussex.
Quite a few south east region members have used them and I think they offer a club discount.
Will try to find a phone number and post it later today.
