Assuming they are 15" then it's 215/60 x 15 a rare size, when I phoned my trusted tyre guy he said minus the expletives. " Can't think of anything else that runs that size" unfortunately that means a poor choice of decent high speed rubber & what's available is damned expensive!
This is why a lot upgrade to D90's as the 16" sizes are much cheaper.

Edited to say early cars run same size front & rear.

my 15" teledials are 7" rim width front and rear, which will fit 195 to 225 width tyres. (manual specifically mentions either 215/60 R15 or 195/65 R15 for a Lux) It had ancient 215/60 pirellis on when i got it and I've since had them swapped for 195/65 dunlops. (£52 ea) Slightly taller and a fair bit narrower. A lot cheaper.

I read a great guide on tyres but cant find link atm. Stresses that even with a narrower width tyre the contact patch wont lose much area as theres more pressure per inch on the narrower width tyre resulting in a longer contact patch (think square rather than rectangular) hence better to resist aquaplaning and for wet grip - im in Scotland so this is important ;)

I got Dunlop sp300 sports for my 924s which were 215/60/15 without too much trouble replaceing the original Dunlops that were fitted I had four fitted last year £200 and then had to replace one due to a nail through the sidewall same price £50 about 3 months ago. Got mine from C&S tyres in Middlesbrough.

They should fit the rear, I assume yours is post 87? Will you be running 18s on the front as well?

Bare in mind it's not just PCD but also the hub centre diameter as this is where the wheel aligns to.

According to my owners handbook, tyres are either 195/65/15 or 215/60/15 assuming 15in teledials.

I recently had 4 Dunlop Fast Response (V rated 195/65/15)) fitted for just over £200.

Hello there,

I am a new member in the forum. Do you mind sharing where did you get your tyres at that price?

Thanks
