I need new rear tyres, 225/50 x 15. Forums are full of Bridgestone SO 2 and Toyo Proxes, but in fact, they appear not to exist anymore. Anyone know where they can be obtained? I've tried all the usual places e.g. Bridgestone, Toyo, Blackcircles, Tyreleaders, Camskills etc....

Cheers
Kevin

Hi.

Do you have the 15" cookie wheels? and do you know if the size 225/50/15's been fitted because the original size is now more difficult to get much of a choice?

Still looking..

According to Bentley's, the original size is 215/60 VR 15, so I guess I can fit these, or 225/60/15 without any problem...which gives me a bit more choice. Anyone know if this will make any difference,?

R, you might be right - I fitted the current size as that is what was there before...but they are Fuch's, not cookies.

Sean, thanks, found the Proxes on MyTyres...seem to have disappeared now lol..

I don't know if you are still looking but BlackCircles still stock them:

Going to 215 would be OK, but the tyres themselves would be taller. If the sizes all round are the same and matching the Bentley manual you should be fine.
