Will these fit my S2?
If not what is the best 18'' turbo alloy to fit my car?

Porsche Turbo 996 18" Alloy Wheels

Set of 4 genuine wheels

All wheels checked for condition & balance

and in very good condition.

Ideal track wheels as these are light weight hollow alloys.

size front: 8J et50 18" 10kg (996.362.136.04)

rear: 11J et50 18" 12kg (996.362.142.11)

The fronts will fit but the rears might be a struggle at 11" wide, 10" will fit.

The other issue you will have is tram lining and a generally poor ride on the bigger rims, but she'll look nice.

agree with jim re tramlining, the rears might foul the arches but if they don't will look nice

Hi :)

Out of interest, what offset are 944S2s ?

928 S2 has a 65 offset all round....so those wheels wouldn't work.

Are 944 a lesser offset ?

All the best Brett :)

I fear you need a great big lump hammer to widen your wheel arches as that 11" rear is not going to fit. Standard S2 rears are 8" with an offset of 52. If you enter the old and new measurements into this website:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

You will see that the new wheels will stick out by 40mm at the arch and 36mm by the rear shock. If you can fit four fingers between the standard wheels and the arch then you will be okay (but I bet you can't )

I have got 7.5" fronts and 9" rears with 255/40/17 on my S2 and there is not that much room at the back so I would definately think 10"x18" will foul the arches unless you can run really low profile tyres but even then I suspect you would have to roll the inner lip of the arches to fit these. Also agree with the tramlining my 17" 225 fronts 255 rears are bad enough.

Not sure I'd want 8.5" on the front, ain't gonna do the steering any favours!
The 10" on the back are on the limit, all the bushes etc. need to be 100% & then it isn't guaranteed that they'll be OK.

i'm with you on this, steering on S2 is heavy enough with standard tyres

I wouldnt ever fit 18" wheels on a 944 or derivative. Porsche didnt even approve the fitting of 18" wheels on 993s until they were halfway through their production. 17"s are as big as you can safely and reliably fit according to the manufacturer and even then they insist that 944 bushes and mounts are used.
