hi

Would 19inch alloys fit onto a boxster 2001? without any rubbing on the inner sides?

My wife had Kahn RSC2 (I think) 19's on her 97 Boxster, took them off as they need a refurb so no pics but the tyres were 235 front 265 rear the same setup as what you would usually find on a 996, no rubbing.

I did try one of my wife's 19's on my 944 after I sold my 7-9 Fuchs that were on it, I thought the 19's looked bloody silly on the 944...lol

I think the official Porsche view is that you shouldn't fit 19" on a 986. This may mean that your insurance co. would take a dim view if you had an accident.

18" plus alloys have been reported to be the possible cause of stress fractures in the monocoque in very early 986's too, I think I'm write in saying that Porsche does not recommend the use of alloys exceeding 17" on 944's, well that was the case 15 years ago if I recall correctly....
