Can anyone please recommend any road legal track tyres?

EMC Motorsport have recommended Dunlop DZ03G - At £192 inc VAT each it's quite a hit.

Camskill have Yokohama AD08 for £117 inc VAT.

My front tyres are on the wear limit, but the rear tyres (Uniroyal Rain Sport 2) still have plenty of life in them and they're even cheaper at £91 inc VAT.

Decisions decisions.

I'm only repeating what I'e heard - but I gather the R888 are more suited to light weight cars such as Elise and MX5, the heavier 944 over heats the the R888.

If you do buy them it will be interesting to read your feedback.

On my track car i use race tyres, slicks ect; Swop wheels at the track, ive found this the best and cheapest way to run a road legal track car.

But the best road legal track tyre is the federal FZ 201, its new tech and its cheaper than the old tech 888!

Your useing rainsports? U never used them on a track then?
All road tyres are useless when used on a track, them uni,s have a very soft sidewall and overheat and deform allmost instantly during track use.

You can beat track tyres, i paid £90 for a full set of slicks, with slicks you can corner so quick.
Run out of suspension b4 tyres!
