Hi can anyone help I am looking to put some boxster s wheels on my 968 and just wondering if I need spacers they are the 17" with 5 sets of 2 prongs if that makes sense and the offsets are et 55 front and et 48 rear, I have been told that a 7mm spacer is required for the front is this true and is it safe?

Many Thanks in advance

They fit on my 924 turbo :D
I have 7J on the front with about about a 5ml spacer and 8J on the back with the 20ml spacer replaced with a 5ml 8)

A picture would be useful. I've had standard Boxster and Boxster S alloys fitted to my 944 S2 Cab (see pics). The standard ones fit without spacers, but the S alloys needed 10mm spacers on the front to clear the hubs, but no spacers on the back were needed.

Can people check the part numbers on their Boxster wheels. I thought mine were, but they have a 996.xx part number...

If yours are the same design as in my second picture above, they will have a 996 part number as the were used on both the 986 Boxster and 996 Carrera.
