Having arrived back home this afternoon from an enjoyable day at Gaydon I decided to check the oil on my 3.2 Carrera. I left the engine idling for a few minutes to check the oil.
Oil OK but moving to the front of the 3.2 I noticed (and smelt) smoke coming from the grill in front of the wipers. Quickly turned engine off
Smoke and smell slowly went but concerned about what's happing. Have removed the grill and had a good look round. Have also had a good look at the wiring under the dashboard (both drivers and passengers side) and can't see anything amiss such as burning or burnt wiring.
Drive up to Gaydon and return - 160 miles no problems. I assume this problem may only arise when the engine's idling. I have noticed recently that the heater blower comes on almost at will for a few seconds then goes off - not sure if this is normal or not.
Any thoughts? Blower motor gone? Wiring that I can't see on inspection?
Thanks in advance.
