Wouldn't waste your money!

Mine is PCM3 and its still not brilliant. I believe its £500 + to upgrade and its only a case of plugging a computer in because its a hard drive!

Use your existing system in conjunction with as paper map and a bit of common sense is my advice, works for me!

Okay thanks Paul - it's a bit annoying to not be able to put a simple postcode in lol

I am sure I have seen update discs that will sort the software and give you a set of more up to date maps.

Thanks Sean - only time will tell lol.

[Got a nice surprise for the lifter fix - 2k estimate! Ouch, that hurt - gonna have to try the warranty route first]

You still won't get full postcode search with updated discs, I've just got used to using coordinates with it now. OK in Europe as it is if that matters to you.

Wayne, if that's confirmed as an issue, it has to be a warranty claim!

cheers Steve

Well at least they've agreed for me to bring it in and have a closer look / discussion. He said that the outcome would have to be based on what 'the dealer' (by this I think he means Porsche Bournemouth) makes of the issue - presuming there is one. Sometimes, just sometimes, I can hear a faint 'tick tick tick' - it doesn't linger, comes and goes - mainly goes. Any thoughts on this appreciated (want to be well armed when I take it in on the 2nd. Cheers

The good news is that you have bought it from a good dealer and they are willing to discuss the issues and have put some things right for you already.

I would want this investigating especially with the unusual oil level readings you seem to be getting.

If the Porsche Centre say its all good, you will have to accept their assessment.
