 Post subject: Early 944 heated rear window relay location?

Guys
Where will I find the HRW relay on my early (1985) 944? My window heater doesn't work even though the switch/light work, so I'm going to try swapping the relay before I start tracing wiring..... :wink:
(I don't have a handbook or Haynes manual yet!)

Anyone? I found a guide on a US Site but the one listed as being HRW on there is my DME relay.... :shock:

Hi. Have a look at the beginning of the 924/944/968 section,"Read me first",then go to the connact.com site.It shows the rear window defogger as relay No.6 on the extreme right of the fuse/relay board. :)

Sorted... :roll: Someone had been "improving" :?
Checked the wiring and realised that the wiring to the HRW socket was correct-that could only mean....
Yes, someone had put an extra DME relay in the HRW socket! :shock:
Swapped for a standard 4 pin but yet to test. At least I have a spare DME relay now! :lol:
