Fitted the summer wheels & tyres back on the Cayenne today. Getting too old to hump 25-30Kg wheels around!
A quick test drive after, it definitely rides better on the 18" Winter wheels. The 19" ones definitely hate potholes & rippled road surfaces.
Looks like the winter tyres will need replacing before they are refitted. Currently on Dunlops but a few are close to 4mm & one is definitely below.
The Summer Vredesteins I fitted last year are at 5mm at their lowest.
Might be looking for front pads before Laon as well. Up in Peterborough next week so maybe use someone up there.

Interesting that the 19.s were that different.
There are plenty on 20s and some on even bigger but they look crap and must be awful

Yup I think most of it is sidewall height. One of my friends had a 955 Turbo on 22" apparently the ride was horrific!

Well the Cayenne has just spent the week at OPC Tonbridge with a list of "to dos" ready for Classic Le Mans on the 5th July. I was away for most of the week on business so convenient for them to spread it out as they wanted. Oil & filter change (I supply oil), brake fluid change, auto box, final drive & transfer box oil changes. Sort out the idiot error messages from the headlights (3 bulbs needed!) Fix one of the keys which had stopped working, supply & fit bit of broken trim in the boot. Wash & vac. Delivered by Peter last night for a very reasonable bill. Looks lovey & shiny on the drive, will try it in a while. But the guy from Tonbridge says "It drives nicely" when he dropped it off. Not bad for 104K miles.
