Post subject:  First serious outlay on the Cayenne today

Noticed tyres were wearing on the Cayenne, inner edge on OSF & NSR. Close to the wear markers & with Laon trip coming up soon with others from TIPEC decided I needed to do something about it. Also for some reason a previous owner was running 265/50 x 19 rather than the 275/45 x 19 it should be on.
Having researched it to death decided on the Vredesteins so ordered a set in to a local tyre dealers (Rochester Tyres). Had them fitted & am now £600 poorer. Car drove fantastically afterwards, very quiet & no vibration at the legal limit. But decided to get the alignment set up. A trip to A2 Tyres in Sittingbourne after a recommendation from Martin on herem& the best part of an hour saw every adjustment corrected, you name it, it was out toe, camber on all 4 wheels. That relieved me of £120. Now it drives very well, hands off at any speed & much nicer steering.

Yes impressed Martin, your name was mentioned & may have got me a nice cuppa. They want to do another open day again.
They were very thorough & went the extra mile to make sure it was spot on.
