Well as I posted nearly 2 years ago here I now own one. So would be good if we can get the Cayenne section a bit more active.

This is mine, now a month old to me. Very high spec, late 2005 V8S in Dark Olive Green. Big change after a Grand Cherokee, twice the power for a start!

It looks a nice car Jim, i was surprised how good the interior is for its age and use.

I am pleased Show us your Cayennes wasn't a euphemism

I got my Cayenne 4.5 Turbo last November. It needs plastic pipes doing and that is due to be done in the next few weeks. It also had the ECU gateway rot away which cost £1000 to rectify (bad design by Porsche). It's a great car and so fast. It is chipped to over 500 bhp.

That looks nice Trevor. What is an ECU Gateway that is a new one on me? Mine is quick with 340 BHP I hate to think how quick a modded turbo is with 500+! Or the fuel bills, although no one buys one as an economy car

On a Cayenne there are around 9-11 ecus that control everything from climate to lights. Most talk through the gateway which connects them. It's behind the dash and steering wheel. The rear washer pipe runs next to it and washer fluid dissolves gold contacts used on the ecu. It started with the reversing lights stuck on and ended with the seat and steering moving while driving. (others..bonnet open, hazards on, rear camera stuck on,). Porsche do not sell the plugs either, only complete wiring harnesses so had to have it soldered in with second hand plugs.

The beast does around 13mpg on short cold runs and up to 21mpg on a good motorway run. It does make me smile.
Worst thing.
The rear seats are a pain to put down.

Ouch, the Germans do some fantastic designs & engineering, then go & screw it up with some really dumb things!

Finally having been let down by one number plate company managed to change the plates over. The DVLA online system is excellent even if it just works through work hours 6 days a week!

It is growing on me! Neither Becky or I do "Green" anything. It is only really green in strong sunlight, otherwise it looks black. Seen a few Cayennes advertised in Dark Olive now, wasn't my first choice, I love Carmen red but that is as common as rockin' 'orse poo on Cayennes.
I did find one on auto-trader but it was a manual yuk!

We normally have red cars but like you say. Red is almost non existent in Cayennes.
