TIPEC membership: 0
want to change the oil in my cayman (2,7) at the weekend , what oil are you guys using ? been looking at halfords fully synthetic 5w50 , i know this is the same as the old mobil 1 and it is porsche approved , is any one using this ? is it ok ?

Halfords oil isn't Mobil 1, most of it is made by Comma, some of it used to be rebadged ESSO. If it meets the Porsche specs then it will be OK. A lot believe Mobil 1 to be over rated.

I use Mobil 1 0w-40 for an extra oil change between OPC services.
