Post subject:  Any Ideas on Fault Codes?....

Heh all, hoping someone may be able to assist, googled the numbers and found nothing.

Had the 'piwis' run on the car and the following fault codes are shown. Cars in for a service with Porsche in the coming week, just wondered if anyone can shed some light on these prior.....

CDR30 shows C202

FRONT shows 802C

GATEWAY shows 8003

REAR shows C123

Only had the car just over 4 months, bit of work done (£3.5k) on pipes, brakes, coffin boxes etc soon as i had the car, recent MOT had front headlight out of line, so chaps rectified that there and then and I do know the car had a new battery prior to my purchase.

Any help, suggestions, greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

M

I have my own code reader which whilst not as comprehensive as a PWIS does give sensible codes which can be Googled.
Did they clear the errors which were reported? Important point is whether they come back.

Hi Jim,

I've been told the codes are pretty much nothing to worry about, which I'm fine with. I do know the car had a new battery before i took ownership, so could have been rated to that. Car works fine, so I've no concern, but its booked at Porsche Sidcup for its next service 2 weeks off. Hoping to get it under warranty, apart from needing new 'Porsche' battery....
Cheers, M

Hi Mark,

Following on from Jim. We've both got code readers which allow us to read and reset fault codes on your model. I'll bring mine to club night on Monday at our new venue 'The Moody Mare' Seven Mile Lane, B2016, and i'm sure Jim will too. I'm expecting a few people who haven't been to a club night before, so you won't be the only one making their first visit. We're a friendly bunch and it would be great to see you and your Boxster.

Stuart.

Hi Stu yes both got code readers. I am not looking good for the meeting tomorrow as I've torn a calf muscle. However I'm around all week & not far from Sidcup if Mark can't make tomorrows meeting & wants to drop down to Chatham.

thanks guys, very kind offerings. Cars booked into Porsche Sidcup for service on the 13th, as I'm hoping to put a warranty on the car, I'm going to leave the codes as I understand i'll need to change the battery to a Porsche battery, once that's done, if the faults remain, then wiping them may be good to ensure the cars in fine order...

Again, thanks for comments, hope to make this evening (fingers crossed), if not, most certainly the next one.....cheers, M
