Hi there. I have a 2006 Boxster 987 3.2S

The bulb in the rear trunk will not light. I had replaced the original with one that I know work.

When I try to lock the car with the boot open, I hear the horn, so I'm not sure it is the microswitch.

It could be a fuse, but I cannot find which number fuse it is in the manual or online, and if it is shared with any other electrical components, it can't be that as everything else on the car works as it should.

Any ideas as to which fuse I need to pull, or indeed, what else may be causing the problem?

James

I would have thought all the interior & trunk lights were on the same fuse/circuit so are they working? If they are check you have a 12 volt supply to the rear trunk light with a multi meter (if you have it points to your spare bulb......) & take it from there. My Bently manual lists the interior light fuse as being in Row A Position 5.

Many thanks for the info Chris, I'll have a look at what you suggest.

Turned out the car was coded incorrectly. A quick visit to the garage sorted that and the light now works perfectly....
