Post subject:  Belt help?

Decided to take a peek inside (pretending I know something about cars) and noticed that the belt doesn't sit centre on one of the pulleys. Is this an issue? Ta

No, it's fine.

That's the serpentine belt, I've replaced on my 996 and Subaru myself. The grooves in the other side of the belt sit in pulley grooves on all the other pulleys and this means the belt is set in that position on that wheel you are talking about.

Wazzer, button up the panel & step away from the car, putting the spanners down carefully so you don't drop them on your foot. :mrgreen:

I've spannered virtually every car I've owned over the years but I've admitted defeat on the Boxster. It is just too much of a Royal PITA to do. Without a ramp anyway. I've done odd jobs, brake wear sensors but won't be getting very involved.
