A friend has a 2005 987 2.7 that requires one front damper replacing.

He has had a price from a Porsche main dealer to supply and fit the part that made his eyes water.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in the midlands to carry out the work/supply the parts?

Cheers

That would almost certainly be a waste of time, effort and money old chap. Left and right suspension components rarely wear at the same rate, either way, it's sure a good idea to check it all out!

i like my car to handle right so would always change both sides for handling and safety, not a waste of time effort or money in my eyes.

+1 especially with the fronts, on the rear I might do a single. Will need the geometry checked afterwards so I'd do it once & get it right.
