Hi everyone,

I was wondering whether to get an air induction kit fitted to my Cayman 2.7? Has anyone had one fitted, or replaced there air filter with a BMC / K&N replacement?

I have seen a DesignTek induction kit that fits directly into the original air box and is shaped to create a venturi effect to APPARENTLY add a sportier sound and may improve BHP?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

Will make it sound better, will hardly produce any additional power unless you also have a custom remap

I heard that because they are pre-oiled, they can affect your MAF sensor??? Don't want to take the chance if this is the case.

An even more sportier sound would be good. Heard BMC are better than K&N?

Thanks for your reply Jon.

If you go for it I'd be interested in the results!

I would like to do it. I just don't want the induction sound to be too overwhelming in normal driving conditions. Seen the DesignTek kit for £195. I have had induction kits on previous cars I have owned and never had a problem with them and they do sound very sporty!
